Update:
So here's the deal. When I first started out using Tumblr my intention was to share stuff I found on the web and to use the rss feed from Tumblr to archive this in Google Reader. Unfortunately, Tumblr limits how many items show up on the feed to a ridiculously small amount so I was never actually able to do this.
Instead, I did the reverse, shared the stuff I found via a feed from Google Reader (which still had issues as it doesn't do the neat attribution that Tumblr does, you have to actually click the links to get back to where I found the item) but at least Google's feed included everything on it.
Then Tumblr started choking when feeds were over a certain length and instead of simply moving on it'd mark the feed as broken and stop importing forever unless I went in, removed the feed and then added it back in. Needless to say, this got old quickly and while I will still do it when I think about it, for the most part, I'm giving up on Tumblr's setup and just worrying about sharing over Google's feed.
With the addition of Google Buzz, I have garnered a number of direct followers who (as far as I know) don't have to jump through hoops to see everything I share. In addition, since they are following via Google Reader or Buzz, they see immediately the source of the item.
You are welcome to continue to visit my Tumblr page, but if the updates stop flowing or you get tired of intermittent updates and want to see the whole enchilada, subscribe to the RSS source feed here or in the address bar (which should actually be the Feedburner feed of my Shared items from Google Reader) or follow me via Google Buzz
